At Grace Covenant Church, the Lord has provided leadership through officers. The officers of the Church, by whom all its powers are administered, are, according to the Scriptures, teaching and ruling elders and deacons.
The Elders (The Session)
The Session of Grace Covenant Church consists of the men who have been elected by the congregation and ordained to the office of Elder. Though there is one office of Elder, within this office elders are of two sorts: Teaching Elders (or pastors) and Ruling Elders. The Session is responsible for the governance of the church, worship and the administration of the sacraments, and shepherding and discipline in the church.
Our current Session members are:
Jeffrey Bettis, Ruling Elder
Rev. David Donovan, Teaching Elder (Moderator of Session)
Gary Poole, Ruling Elder (Clerk of Session)
Clay Ramsey, Ruling Elder
Roger Rhodes, Ruling Elder
Daniel Stout, Ruling Elder
The Deacons (The Diaconate)
The Diaconate of Grace Covenant Church consists of the men who have been elected by the congregation and ordained to the office of Deacon. The Diaconate is responsible for overseeing the mercy ministry of the church, ministering to the physical needs of the congregation, and managing the property of the church.
Our current deacons are:
