Trey Reed grew up in Duluth, GA where he graduated from Duluth High School and grew up around the best Korean food in the South. After graduating high school he became involved in the Korean Church, interning at Calvary Presbyterian Church. This eventually led him to living in South Korea for 2 years where he had the opportunity to study Korean and teach Korean missionaries English. Over the course of 10 years in Gwinnett County, Trey served as an intern at Calvary Presbyterian Church, Jesus Hope Church, and served as the Youth and English Ministry Pastor at Suwanee Presbyterian Church.
Trey also studied Philosophy at Georgia State and received his MA in Biblical Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary in Atlanta. He currently serves as an Army Chaplain Candidate in the US Army Reserve. Through his time in youth ministry he has developed a deep desire to see the next generation shaped by the Word of God and by Covenant Life in the Family and in Christ’s Church. His Philosophy of Ministry is one which seeks to come alongside parents rather than replace them as the shepherd of the children’s hearts and minds, by working with parents to shape them with the ordinary means of grace in Covenant community.
Trey is married to Mae Anne and together they have a son named Dewey. They love singing karaoke, taking walks and traveling. In his free time, Trey loves watching baseball or soccer, playing banjo and guitar, reading science fiction or tending to his carnivorous plant garden.
